Connecting Iowans in the Nation's Capital
Founded in 1908, the Iowa State Society is a proud nonprofit organization dedicated to uniting Iowans living and working in Washington, D.C. We are a welcoming community for anyone with ties to the Hawkeye State — whether you were born there, went to school there, or simply love Iowa.
Our mission is to promote the cultural, professional, and economic interests of Iowa while providing a supportive network for transplants who find comfort among fellow Iowans. We are the perfect fit for those looking for a taste of home in our nation's capital.
With over 450 active members and a robust calendar of events, we offer social gatherings, professional networking, policy briefings, and cultural celebrations that keep Iowa's spirit alive in D.C.
